About Virgin Mobile

Virgin Mobile are a Virtual Mobile Network - that is, they use another company's technical infrastructure to make and receive calls. In Virgin's case, Everything Everywhere (Orange and T-Mobile combined) provide the network, whilst Virgin Mobile handle the customer service and billing. The upside is that the network is mature and provides excellent mobile signal in most places. Plus Virgin's pricing is very keen and straighforward. Pretty much what you'd expect from Richard Branson's gargantuan brand, to be honest.

Virgin Mobile Coverage - UK Population Percentage

The Virgin Mobile 2G signal covers over 99% of the UK population. Its 3G network (which provides higher mobile broadband speeds) covers around 80%. (Note: Uses the Everything Everywhere (Orange & T-Mobile) network.)
